It connects freelancers and clients through a fast, secure interface handling the complete workflow—from discovery and real-time communication to project management and secure payments.

  • Full-Stack Marketplace: Complete ecosystem with freelancer profiles, gig listings, and client discovery tools.
  • Real-Time Communication: Instant messaging and file sharing powered by Supabase, keeping conversations contextual and efficient.
  • Secure Payments: Integrated escrow system ensuring funds are held securely until work is completed, with clear transaction history.
  • Dual Dashboards: distinct, optimized experiences for freelancers (gig management, earnings) and clients (hiring, project tracking).
  • SEO & Performance: Server-side rendering with Next.js 16 ensures ease of discovery, while code splitting and image optimization deliver lightning-fast load times.

Challenges and Learnings

Building a two-sided marketplace required balancing the distinct needs of freelancers and clients. Implementing a secure escrow system and reliable real-time messaging taught valuable lessons in trust architecture and state synchronization. Utilizing Supabase's Row-Level Security was crucial for ensuring data privacy in a multi-user environment.
